Glen Bianchi began learning the art of metal fabrication at the age of thirteen in his father's machine shop. That was over four decades ago. After a career as a successful machinist in Dallas, Texas, Glen moved to southeast Oklahoma where destiny introduced him to legendary spur maker Walt Rambo.
While purchasing an anvil from Walt, Glen mentioned his lifelong desire to make spurs. Walt saw something in him and took the time to teach Glen the craft. Glen's decades of experience in metal fabrication and welding meant he took to the art with rare natural ability.
Today, from his shop overlooking the rolling Oklahoma hills and his registered Hereford cattle, Glen creates pieces that riders call irreplaceable. He owns four horses: a Quarter Horse, an Arabian, a Tennessee Walker, and a Thoroughbred, giving him firsthand knowledge of what a great spur needs to be.
"It was what I was meant to do." Glen loves to make spurs and based on the work he has produced, he has certainly earned his own.
